I am Soha Mahdi, an AI innovation manager with a passion for leveraging artificial intelligence across various industries. Currently, I serve as the Co-Founder and CTO of Specifix, a spin-off from the University of Antwerp and imec, based in Antwerp, Belgium.

At Specifix, I lead the development of AI-powered SaaS solutions, including a virtual tool for patient-specific pre-operative planning. My role involves strategic planning, AI consultancy, and managing cross-functional teams to drive technological advancements and ensure successful implementation. This experience has equipped me with the skills to handle complex AI projects and deliver innovative solutions across different sectors.

In addition to my entrepreneurial endeavors, I am deeply involved in academic research. As a research associate in the Department of Electronics & Informatics at Vrije Universiteit Brussels, I collaborate on projects that transform various types of data into structured, actionable insights. Utilizing advanced AI techniques, such as geometric deep learning and natural language processing, I aim to create efficient AI-powered systems with broad applications, from healthcare to other data-intensive fields.

I hold a Ph.D. from KU Leuven, where I conducted research at the Medical Imaging Research Center at University Hospitals Leuven. My work focused on computer vision and geometric deep learning applications, further refining my expertise in AI-driven analysis and innovation.

My diverse experience spans AI consultancy, strategic leadership, and hands-on technical expertise.
